Department Head and Professor of Economics

The College of Science at Virginia Tech is seeking an accomplished, visionary head for its Department of Economics. The Department of Economics consists of 14 faculty, 2 instructors, 4 staff members and 25 Economics Ph.D. students. (The Ph.D. is offered jointly with the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences). We have approximately 450 undergraduate majors divided between programs in the College of Science and in the Pamplin College of Business. The successful candidate will be appointed full professor in the department.
